Western Power Network Maintenance and Upgrades

Important upcoming works in West Coolup
The Shire of Murray hereby gives notice Western Power will be carrying out essential work in West Coolup and surrounding areas. A number of planned outages will be required from November 2024 through to March 2025 to enable Western Power crews to complete these upgrades safely.
Impacted residents and businesses will be notified by Western Power up to 10 business days prior to each planned outage. Please check your notifications carefully.
Project Overview
The scope of work is focused on strengthening the local network and includes:
- 141 pole replacements.
- 23.3 km of high-voltage conductor.
- Equipment replacements, including transformers, crossarms, insulators, and reclosers.
By reinforcing network infrastructure and enhancing resilience to weather events, this package of work will help ensure a more reliable supply for homes and businesses in the area.

What to expect?
You may notice an increase in heavy vehicles in the area while works are carried out. Traffic management will be in place where required. Should we need to access your property, one of Western Power's team members will contact you.
