The Shire of Murray has opened applications for the 2024/25 Façade Refurbishment Subsidy Program.
Shire of Murray CEO Dean Unsworth said, the Façade Refurbishment Subsidy Program supports landowners and local business owners with the revitalisation of the main streets in Pinjarra and Dwellingup.
“This program supports one of our key focus areas ‘Place’, helping us create active, vibrant, attractive and safe places for our community and visitors to enjoy,” said Mr Unsworth.
“Main streets or ‘high streets’ are the heart of town centres and contribute to the character and life of a place with building facades being important contributors to the quality of a town centre."
“As an incentive to encourage landowners and local business owners to upgrade their building facades, the program offers successful applicants the opportunity to receive a matched financial contribution to put towards works that will improve the visual appearance and assist with activation of Pinjarra and Dwellingup town centres,” added Mr Unsworth.
Previous recipients of this subsidy included the Dwellingup General Store who placed bold artwork inspired by the natural environment in Dwellingup by internationally-renowned Perth artist, Kyle Hughes-Odgers.
