More than 100 people joined in the fun at the Shire of Murray’s inaugural Murray Sports Fusion Festival over the weekend.
The Festival hosted thirteen different events throughout Murray for people of all ages and abilities to take part in.
Shire of Murray Chief Executive Officer Dean Unsworth, said it was fantastic to see the community enjoy the Murray Sports Fusion Festival.
“Events like these help us showcase the fantastic local sporting clubs and activities in Murray, while encouraging our community to come together and get active.”
“Thank you to all of the clubs and organisations that took part in this flagship event, we can’t wait to see you all at the next one,” added Mr Unsworth.
Events included touch football, volleyball, golf, croquet, tennis, yoga, carriage driving, pilates, disc golf, bootcamp, lawn bowls and even speed cubing.
This was the first of two events for the year, with the second to be held in November 2025.
This project has received grant funding from the Australian Government managed by the Australian Sports Commission and is supported by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
