Munday Avenue

Project type

Roads, footpaths, bridges and drainage

Project commences

Mid-2025

Investment

$7m

The Shire of Murray have received a $4.5m grant from the State Government to support this project.

A link between Greenlands Road and Munday Avenue provides alternative and direct transport access to Pinjarra industrial area, allowing traffic direct access to Greenlands Road. This key road extension assists in diverting heavy vehicles away from Pinjarra CBD and helps to implement the Pinjarra townsite strategy.

Moving heavy vehicles away from the CBD is key in supporting the future growth of Pinjarra. Munday Avenue will provide alternative access to the industrial areas and allow traffic bypass the town centre. It also shifts control over the state road to the Shire, meaning local management decisions can be made on land use surrounding the road. It’s all part of creating a stronger commercial, retail and tourism economy.
