Crazy Pieced Drawstring Bag - Cath Clarke - 18yrs+
Sunday 18th August 2024
Cath Clarke is a registered teacher with the West Australian Quilters Association.
In this 4 hour workshop Cath will teach you a unique way of crazy piecing over a piece of paper that will give the precise shape of what will be needed to create a small drawstring bag. The crazy piecing can be embroidered by hand or machine & will have a plain piece of fabric above and below it to create a bag about 9.5” high and 21“ in circumference. All the material that is in the kit for the outer side of the bag will be Japanese Yarn dyed fabric with a lovely texture. The lining is a lovely printed cotton.
You will need to bring a sewing machine, cream thread, a full bobbin of thread, fabric scissors & pins.
Please see the image for booking details. There is plenty of parking available on-site and attendees will be sent an email prior to the event with more information. This workshop, in the Murray Arts and Crafts Society Inc’s 50th Anniversary Community Workshops Program, is made possible by generous support from the Shire of Murray, Alcoa, Mandurah Murray Mayday Inc and Doral Mineral Sands Pty Ltd.
