Poetry Reading & Conversation with Josephine Clarke & Vivienne Glance

Tuesday 4th June 2024

Immerse yourself in the world of poetry, join in a discussion about the writing and publishing process, and leave inspired.

Josephine Clarke grew up in the Pemberton area and now resides in Fremantle. Josephine has been very involved in the creative writing world since the early 2000s, organising and performing in poetry reading events. In 2020 her first collection, Recipe for Risotto, was published. The titular poem of the collection was used in the 2019 ATAR Literature paper. Jean Kent describes her poetry as "moments in ordinary lives, celebrated with compassion and photographic vividness."
Vivienne Glance is a playwright, performer, prose and poetry writer. Her work has been seen, published and presented in Australia and internationally. Vivienne holds a PhD in Creative Writing from UWA, and her creative interests lie at the intersection of science, art and society, environmental activism, and cultural diversity.
