About the Role

The Murray Aquatic and Leisure Centre (MALC) is looking for enthusiastic Swimming Teachers to join our fantastic group of instructors.

MALC is aiming to build upon a strong history of learn-to-swim development, and take it to another level with a refined programme and greater professional development for staff. The MALC Learn to Swim program is Royal Life Saving and AustSwim endorsed, ensuring high standards and commitment to teaching outcomes. 

Relief and potential ongoing shifts will be available for both morning and afternoon shifts, with lessons servicing both infants and stage levels. This opportunity is open to all teachers regardless of the level of experience with on-the-job training provided. 

Swim instructors with specialist qualifications are also encouraged to apply as it is hoped to deliver future Swim School programmes designed for varying community needs. 

For the right instructors, MALC offers a great level of pay ranging from $35.4738 to $40.6575 per hour (inclusive of 20% casual loading), a positive learning environment with ongoing support from the Swim School Coordinator, on-the-job skills development and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Ability to deliver a teaching continuum.
