About the Role

The Shire of Murray, a progressive organisation located in Pinjarra, is seeking a dynamic and results-orientated Governance Manager.

Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the efficient and effective delivery of Governance Services. This role will review and support governance policies, procedures and frameworks, coordinate local law development, oversee Council elections and manage the Shire’s property and lease portfolio.

The position on offer is a full-time contract, working 76 hours across a 9-day fortnight. A total remuneration package of $154,105 (cash component of $120,000 per annum) will be offered.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have experience in a similar governance role, knowledge of the Local Government Act 1995 and associated regulations, relevant Local Laws, policies and regulations and well-developed negotiation, problem solving, conflict resolution and public relation skills.
